What's on in May?

Welcome to May and another month of fun at Spark Life! If you haven't had a chance to visit us yet, now is the time. Why not try out our Class Pass? This gives you unlimited access for a week, to our regular timetabled classes, for just £5! Or, perhaps you're looking for something a little more personal? We have 1-2-1 personal training as well as personal training in a group of 4 in our Strong Woman Club; just get in touch if you'd like to find out more.

We cater for your whole wellbeing here at Spark Life and, as always, you can book your Reiki or Shammanic healing with our resident Mystic, Healer and Wise Woman, Helen, any time on our booking system. Plus, we have a whole host of spiritual events coming up throughout the month.

Franklin Method Workshop: Happy, healthy Hips’ - Saturday 20th May, 11am to 12.30pm - £15

The ultimate goal of the Franklin Method is happy, healthy movement; by increasing the efficiency of movement, we can move with greater ease and less effort.  One of the main ways we do this in Franklin Method classes, is to gain a better understanding of how our body is designed to move. This provides our brain with a clearer image and therefore, clearer information to use when communicating with our bodies, enabling the most efficient movement possible.

Benefits of using the Franklin Method

  • Greater embodiment
  • Increased connection to our bodies
  • Better understanding and appreciation of how our bodies move
  • More efficient movement
  • Improved posture
  • Supports better mental and physical health
  • Happier movement and therefore happier living
  • Transferable skills – can be used in other classes, exercises and movement practices.

This workshop is led by our experienced yoga teacher and Franklin Yoga facilitator, Laura. She holds a supportive and completely invitational space, where you are guided to explore this liberating practice at your own pace and in your own way.

Accessible Classes - Gentle Stretch and Move and Later Life Fitness

We like to do things differently and so all our classes are run with every body and everybody in mind. However, our accessible classes take this a step further. Whether it's the thought of moving that puts you off joining a class, the idea of being in an impersonal space with lots of other people, or the cost, these classes are designed to remove those barriers and get you moving your body in a way which feels good for you!

These classes are funded by our sister organisation, Spark Community so are either £3 or free; if you would like to donate to our Unincoporated Association to help us continue to make fitness more accessible for all, there is a link in the class descriptions when you sign up.
